Over the past two years I have found it worthwhile to keep track of the new bibliographic and holding records that are added monthly to the database. Having ranges of system numbers that I can use to identify new records sometimes helps me to trouble shoot or correct database problems. Since I am collecting the beginning and end system numbers for PLN01 and PLN60, it is no problem to calculate the number of records added each month and the total number added each year. When I have processed large batch loads, I have noted that as well.

In 2006 and 2007 some very large collections of e-books were batch loaded to the database. There were only small numbers of e-books batch loaded in 2008.
